The Naval & Maritime Consortium (NMC) and Connecticut Center for Employee Ownership (CTCEO) bring you a special presentation on Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) and employee ownership. Every July, the NMC partners with a special guest for the Thames River Working Group meeting. In lieu of our usual short presentation and open-floor format style meeting, we give this guest the full hour to present about their topic and educate our community about an important business topic. This year, we were excited to partner with Amy Huot - Executive Director of the CT Center for Employee Ownership, and Steve Storkan - Executive Director of the Employee Ownership Expansion Network to address the growing retirement trend among small business owners as well as the rising employee dissatisfaction that causes employees to move from one manufacturer to another. While other presenters are addressing things like quiet quitting and looking at changing the culture through increased employee activities and fringe benefits.
